Born in the town of Athens, Georgia, a city that has been described by many as “the alternative rock capital of the world”, Taylor had early musical influences. His father, a musician who formulated his tastes in the classic rock/bluegrass styles of the late 60’s and 70’s, and engrained in him the knowledge of rhythm and the riff.

Through the years, one could regularly see Taylor banging his head to bands such as Alice In Chains, Killswitch Engage and Horse The Band.

He sought to learn styles and moves from the great bassists of our times and modeled his playing after masters like Les Claypool and Geddy Lee and brings his talents to the songs of Delta.
